The Role…
The Membership Committee for Amara Club is a paid position and responsible for building and curating the membership community, as well as ensuring the culture and experience are positive. They are essentially the gatekeepers of the secret club.
A successful Membership Committee member reviews applications and ensures membership growth targets are achieved, while maintaining a high quality community and most importantly, a fun culture.
The Membership Committee will report to the Head of Amara Club, with whom they will work to ensure we recruit high quality members, and incorporate member and user feedback to ensure we keep the magic alive throughout the app experience.
We are actively hiring Membership Committee members pulled from various industries, genders, sexualities, and backgrounds. We want people who are down-to-earth, kind, and humble despite the waitlist and exclusivity.The membership committee is evaluated on a rolling basis. While the application is always live, there may not be an open position at the time your application is received.
Responsibilities:
Be on the Membership Committee–review applications via our dashboard
Attend periodic team happy hour zoom calls
Anything else that excites you
Requirements:
Work whenever - we expect ~5 hours per week
Witty and strong writing + communication skillz are a plus
Strong network but not caught up in the scene
Creative and original
Social butterfly, friendly and approachable
Team player, low ego, positive energy, takes initiative
Understands the startup lifestyle
